Rhythm and Cycles
Planning and Experimental
In this section of the page, I will be emphasizing about the planning, research and the experimental stages while doing this project Rhythm and Cycles.Firstly we were given brief about what we need to do and achieve for the project Seven Deadly sins which I am going to follow the same pattern in this project Rhythm and Cycles as well. The brief is shown below in the figure, I have tried my best to follow this briefing throught the project.

Prep Work
Below are the prep works that I have done before doing my final piece.
Brain storming
Story Board
Above is the story board for my video of still images based on Money. On the first coloum of story board is a picture of single blured coin, as it is one coin people usually ignore it and it has less importance due to which I decidede to blur for the actuall final piece. In the second coloum is the image of many coins getting collected, this image is going to be caputred with sharp focus in the coins as these coins have been collected over a time and too many to get ignored by people so in the thrid coloum is the introduction of piggy bank which is usually used by people to collect these large amount of coins. Extreme close up of coins going in through the piggy bank is showed in the 5 image. The 6th images will be of Piggy bank turing around, this is done to show that time is passing by and when people need to reuse those money they are smashed to get the coins out.
Final Idea
My Final Rhythm and cycles piece on Piggy bank. Piggy banks were more often used in olden days then in recent years due to which I decided to use Metallic Black images for my final piece. In this final piece I have decided to use 1p and 2p coins due to the fact that people neglect these money and these are the monies that gets collected over a period of time so these monies are the ones that usually end up in piggy bank. The idea is to show the cycle of monies getting collected, then the introduction of piggy bank where these monies are kept for over a period of time and then the piggy bank is destroyed to use the money.
Above are some of the videos that I researched while doing my final piece. The ideas of using coins and piggy bank together to create my final piece came after researching through these kind of videos. On the video of the right I have used the idea of how the coin gets collected in my final pieces. while on the video on the left I have used the idea of breaking of the piggy bank for my final piece. I used these ideas to represent my rhythm and cycles of how the coins gets collected and kept at the piggy bank & destroyed.
Experimenting with my final Idea
The images below were taken during my experimantation period where I was developing my ideas by playing around with different camera shots like depth of field, extreme close ups, midshots etc.
Still Images Video practising.
As my final piece was going to be based on video of still images I decided to experiment with things and see the result before deciding to take it forward for my final piece. Below are two experimental video of still images of coins and coke can.
Editing
As my final piece on rhythm and cycles is on Still images Video format, I had to Edit the images using photoshop and then upload it into Final cut pro ( software I used to edit my video) and then upload into youtube. I tried to use different sounds for my final piece but none of them suited for it due to which I decided to use Garage band to create sound suited for my final piece.
Photoshop
Editing my pictures were one of the most important phases whiles doing this project. As i wanted to link my final piece to olden times when piggy banks were widely used, I decieded to edit my pictures into metallic black using photshop. This was one of the longest process while doing this project as I had to edit all my 156 still images before making it into video. Below are some of the images that I edited.
