Being Atget
In this 'Being Atget' section I have to capture my local environment in the style of my key-photographer through photographs. During this project I will also be looking at cityscape photography/photographers during this project as part of my research to widen my understanding of the 6 rules of photography.
Note:- All the picture have to represent Hounslow using 6 ruels of Photography.
Before starting this Project I decided to brain storm my ideas about Hounlosw which would invaluably help me while doing this project and make my work easier later.

Being Atget
Framing the subject
Hounslow is a beautiful city inside london. It is one of the most nearest place from London Heathrow airport. Heathrow is the world busiest airport of the world so I decided to capture this image as areonplanes around the skies is on of the main thing that represents what hounslow is about. In this photo I have framed image of a Aeroplane using low angled wide shot with the bared wires. This Picture represents Hounslow due to the fact that people in hounslow are under the roof of aircrafts that dominate the skies.
Use of line
The image on the right is of the hounslow national train railway which I have caputred to represent the rule use of line. The image was caputred in vertical angle to show the path that the rail way track is leading. The image on the right is appropriate for use of line due to the reason that I m trying to show the parrell rail way track that goes straight. I think this image is appropriate to represent hounslow because hounslow is a developed place in London, and there are 3 local train station and 1 national train station. This shows that most people around hounslow use train station in their day to day life.
Vantage Point
The Picture on the right is of Tall private building located near Asda of Hounslow. . Vantage point is represented here by the position from where I have taken this picture. The shot was taken in vertical low angle in deem light conditions so that the viewer looks up at the building and realistically that also happens when you come across seeing this building. The picture represents Hounlsow due to the fact the there are many people in hounslow who live in private property which makes hounslow as one of the developed places in London.
Depth of Field
The image on the right is from Lampton park taken in Landscape format. I think this picture is appropriate for Depth of field because of the fact that we can see that the layers exists in this photo created by the trees, two person and the back ground trees, layers are one of the aspects of Depth of field. The First tree is in Primary focus which makes it dominant and further the trees are more less depth it is.
Filling the frame
The image on the left was captured of a statue which is found in the walls of house near hounslow east station. This photo is right for Filling the frame due to the fact that the statue of lion dominates the entire Screen and making the background things secondary. This image on the right is when the viewer is shown a photograph they have no way of knowing for sure what lies beyond the frame. We often make decision on what the photograph is about from the information we can see, often have no way of knowing whether the assumption is correct or incorrect. The Picture represents hounslow because image shows the art and cultural aspect of hounslow. Hounslow is multicultural socicety where different kind of multi ethnic people exists. The image represents hounslow as a artistic and cultural place.
Rule of third
The photo on the right was taken by me from the hounslow treaty centre in dime light. The photo represents the rule of third due to the fact that It has three independent layers the Job Centre big building, the buidling on its left and the back ground houses on the sides. The picture represents hounslow because of the multiple color found in the different buildings which represents the multi-enthnicity of hounslow. Also that fact that the image shows only one building and rest normal houses, this represents hounslow as a middle class society dominated place.
Capturing the Subject
The main reason I choose this picture to sum up hounslow is because I wanted to show the typical Housing style of Hounslow where and the parking style. I also deliberately choose to capture the side of my umbrella to show the weather of hounslow, which is ocassionally rainy, cloudy and dull most of the time. In this picture I have tried to use three different rules of photography : Framing the subject, Filling the frame and Capturing the subject it self.
