Rhythm and Cycles
Introduction
The Theme : "Rhythms and Cycles"
In short Rhythms and cycles is the happening of anything with a flow. The cycles of life, death, decay and rebirth have continuously provided a welth of inspiration for artists, designers and craft workers.
The word cycle can carry many meanings, one being the natural, animate life cycle : to be born, to live and to die. There is also the inanimate cycle of things; for example, when an objects stops performing its assigned function, people usually throw it away because they consider it useless. In contemporary society, when something doesn't work any more we prefer to buy a replacement; it often works out cheaper and quicker than trying to repair a broken thing. Some artists create a new life cycle give them a renewed life that alters their purpose entirely.

Final idea
There are millions of ideas to represent rhythm and cycles for my Final Rhythm and cycles piece on Piggy bank. Piggy banks were more often used in olden days then in recent years due to which I will edit all my final piece to Metallic Black images. The location i have chose will be near my window as the sun lighting will act as the natural lightining socurce and will have an great impact on my final pieces. Also that fact that piggy banks are usually kept near the window so I decided to use it as my final location. In this final piece I will be using 1p and 2p coins due to the fact that people neglect these money and these are the monies that gets collected over a period of time so these monies are the ones that usually end up in piggy bank. The idea is to show the cycle of monies getting collected, then the introduction of piggy bank where these monies are kept for over a period of time and then the piggy bank is destroyed to use the money.
Format
I have chosen video of still images for this exam because I feel that it is the form in which my ideas, inspirations and feelings can come through in a more visible and creative way. With the help video of still images it will also help reflect more on rhythm and cycles. As the title is Rhythm and cycle the video can easliy show the flow and cycles of different ideas than single image.
